Today you will take a flight to Kilimanjaro Airport and you are driven to the Ngorongoro Crater – the world’s largest inactive, intact and unfilled volcanic caldera! It was formed two-three million years ago, when a huge volcanic mountain, rivalling Mt. Kilimanjaro in size, exploded and collapsed on itself. Thanks to its physical beauty as well as its status as one of the finest game viewing areas in Africa, this crater has been dubbed by some as the 8th Wonder of the World! Overnight in Ngorongoro.

Day 8: SERENGETI (B, L, D)

After breakfast, you will be taken for a tour of the Ngorongoro Crater. After you descend into the crater you have great chances of seeing some of the many kinds of wildlife permanently resident on the crater floor – including zebras, buffaloes, hyenas, wildebeests and lions. At other times too, the Serengeti National Park offers scintillating game-viewing: great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe and thousands upon thousands of eland, topi, kongoni, impala and Grant’s gazelle.
